News of the film first appeared during a showing of the Episode of Chopper Plus, during which a teaser for the tenth film was revealed. It was written by manga creator Eiichiro Oda himself. The Straw Hat Pirates come to Gran Tesoro, the richest ship in the world. One Piece Film: Strong World is the tenth animated feature film of the franchise.
